Kiss Balance

I was doing my first 2 real day's training dives this Thusrs and Sat just gone and noticed something odd.
I was usuing my left leg a bit too much, I then realised that my harness was a bit loose as I've lost a bit of weight and the RB was slipping a bit to the left.

I could pull the harness tight by pulling on the straps, but if I let go it would alway fall to the left.

Is this my attitude in the water or because the larger CL is on the right?

I will tighten the straps, but want wait until a) after the winter pork out and b) the ditch and retrieve

r
Paul

Hi Paul - ooo - training dives eh? you'll be able to get your KMA 'instructor trainer' badge soon.

Haven't noticed any balance issues myself but i've generally run 4 + 4 c/lungs so my yin and yang would have been aligned - you could always try swapping them round and see if you then topple to the right...

Yes, I've been to the dizzying depth of 21m now, twice for 70 odd minutes each in Stoney Thurs and Sat. It was quite cold

Thanks Keith, I'll try swapping them, or 2 x 4s If I takke really deep breaths, I can *just* outbreathe the CLs.
I think it's exaserbated by the fact that the straps are a bit too loose so I'll tighten them as well.

Best
Paul

Im on 2+4. Cant say I notice a balance issue.... I must have a chip on both shoulders

Like you, i can just tickle the ADV on a really deep breath.... which suits me since it means Im always running minimum loop volume. The down side is that cheeky lil up and over manouvers arent possible without venting a bit and re-injecting.

I just saw Martin (my instructor) and he said it may have been the fact that I had a stage on that side, but the straps are too loose as well.

Just for completeness, it was an Ally 7l stage pumped to 230 bar, and it did not have my EE14 on the RHS.
