KISS & Sport KISS Rebreathers.: Discuss Sport Kiss in the Rebreathers - Unit Specific forums: I'd have thought PO2 stability on the pre-breathe may have been a challenge too (unless it was stable at 0.21) ...

Ho hum
another point of view may have been the holding up a pair of lungs and saying "whose are these" just before they jumped in and realised they were theirs didn't really help their case ;-)
just goes to show that it is important to do a course ....

NO!

it shows that it is important to be attentive above water, alert underwater and to REALLY understand the quirks of your rebreather and that of rebreathers in general. Whilst a course may help, it will not give you these skills or the required attitude. I fear, the more mainstream rebreathers become the more this sort of thing will become commonplace. :-(

I have my Sport Kiss now, everything except the O2 displays, which should be here next week. I'll let you know what I think, once I've dived it! Think I will have everything I need in one place finally by second week of march so that I can dive it.

Theres some pics of it at Sport Kiss Pics

Andy G - Where will you be at LIDS? would be good to touch base on the Sport Kiss! Did you say there would be draft BSAC course notes?

cheers

Andy

Ah well, got tired of gettin no reply from jetsam and am now well on the way to full drager conversion, got some bits from "tecme", Martin is a good guy to do buiness with and kept me informed all the time.

Just finishin off my ppo2 displays and waitin for my hydrogom valve then I'll be off to eccy delph for a play no deeper than 6m of course (for the first 5 mins at least) while I check my guages work as per design etc etc....
I haven't altered too much and still have the option of going back SCR with just a couple of hose swaps should the need arise.

As TIGGER says TTFN
