| After much consideration, I'm looking to get a Sport Kiss. I've read all the opions in the archives etc, but what I want to know is has anyone on here actually got one ? What are the implications of getting it into this country i.e customs&excise duty etc, and how much did it cost all together ? Much as I like my draeger when the cost of converting it to Kiss style CCR is added up it equals the price of a new sport kiss !! (if you take into account what its worth second hand now + conversion). As always info greatly appreciated.

| God, I'm jealous. I really rate the SportKiss, it appeals to us engineery types. The Classic KISS is a beaut too, but don't tell that bastard Sherlock. I'm very much in the market for a SportKiss, got a YBOD already and am not in the mood for getting bent over prone for an Evo. Has anyone got any decent data on the SK scrubber life and exactly how it works? (No need to explain KISS valve, it's the kitty litter I'm interested in). |

| Steve Millard is diving a Sports and I *think* Colin bennet is too. Theres some info at ; http://www.scotsac.com/Scottish_Dive...200412_sk1.htm Essentially the scrubber is compartmentalised when means the gas gets two runs through, I cant remember its capacity..... Your best bet is to contact gordon. http://www.jetsam.ca PS. throb... eyes everywhere mate

| You may want to speak to Steve W, he has trydived (in the sea) the SportKISS. One of the BSAC people had one at the try dive pool at the NEC, they may well have one at LIDS. I got to crawl all over one at the NEC and it looked to be a nice little unit, apparently they are only rated to 50m, as scrubber breakthrough is very quick if you go any deeper. Regards Simon A |

| There's a larger scrubber coming for the Sports which gives it the same capacity (by weight) as the Classic - however because of it's 'out & back' gas flow through the scrubber it should theoretically be more effective so give a longer duration but with the trade-off of a quicker breakthrough. The Sports is built for volume production so the parts tend to be injection moulded rather than milled and first hand reports are that it's a bit less 'bomb proof' than the Classic. I'm not sure that anyone in the UK has actually bought one and had it shipped - I think the units here were either brought over in person or left behind by Gordon, but I imagine the costs of C&E etc. are the same ballpark as the Classic. |

| Just found this on t'net, not sure how current it is tho.

| I think there's a couple out in the Red Sea at the moment on a trip - if I can get the ok I'll see if I can share some of their comments. Some people have reservations about the scrubber design and the possibility of a very quick breakthrough as 'purist' notes above. R. |
