| Just out of interest, how much do Kiss's go for?

| I think secondhand they're around £2.5 to £3k, depending on condition. Janos

| Those that i've seen are usually advertised at £2500 +- a few hundred. It depends upon how old no of modifications, amount of extras and how quick the owner wants a sale. My unit is one of the earlier models, not everyone thinks all the changes are for the best, but i guess that's the same with life.

I'm always happy to talk diving though - so if you're going to be in Central London then give me a bell. Janos

| Price... It depends on a. how much of a bastard the person selling it is and b. how much of a bastard the person buying it is. I got mine for £2k including flying to Larnaca and back to pick it up. Go figure whether (a) or (b) above applies Mine was an oldie but not as old as 018 (052). From what I've seen of the new handsets I think I prefer the old ones. The oldies also have a maintenance free O2 valve, you shouldn't need to replace the seat in the old ones. OTOH the new ones have O2 injection on either side. The oldies have it on the left which I don't like as it is very busy (O2 valve, wing inflate & stages).

| What I don't like is that it is easy to grab the inflator when you want the valve and vice versa. With the old style stainless valves there is no mistaking the feel of it, it's heavy, very heavy. I wonder how the new moulded plastic ones feel, I'd be a bit worried about confusing two similar feeling plastic valves.
