Red face Wanted Classic KISS bolts - size and type

Hi,

I took off my backplate to lend to a mate and have subiquently lost the dambed bolts, which screwed into the Ali case. I know they are not metric but I don't know the size or type (imperial/Witworth..) to get new ones. I figure Jetsam will probably sell spares but I would like to source them locally (UK) before paying over the odds for bolts from Canada. Serves me right for leaving my KISS in bits of the winter...

Cheers,

Dave (off to turn the garage upside down - again...) C

if you were to hazard a guess, what'd the approx diameter in mm?

If they are similar size to twinset bolts, i'd have a guess at 3/8 AF bolts.

Cool

I think the bolts are UNC.. may be the same as US twinset bolts...

Dave,

The KISS list is your friend.

They're 5/16 UNC.

I got some from here:

Thanks Janos,

This is exactly whay I was looking for, as well as the original bolts.

(Actually the only reason I posted - [after the exchaustive search of ALL my diving and no diving tool boxes] was so as soon as I had posted, they would pop out of their hidding place and into my hands - which they did when I immediately went back into the garage and found then in a bucket next to the garage door... so negating my post.. )
