Question Which Rebreather Would You Choose & Why?

Never let it be said that we don't bring you choice! "ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?!"

OK, there now seems to be a variety of RB users/posters on the forum. Which unit would you choose to buy and use - and why?

And without causing a ruck, please go through your reasoning (let's leave the emotions out of it). The reason for this is that there are now a number of us who've attended the various 'Try Dive' weekends at the Cape and it's got the juices bubbling!

Let's be having you!

NB: This is re-post so we can start a new Poll as the other one 'got lost' in the 'Great YD June Crash of 2004'.

Thumbs up Most Entertained!

Thank you Bren!
A longer list of choices this time too! Can't really change my vote though as two of the things are sitting in their packing crates on my living room floor!

I've still got you video! I'll get it back to you after I get back (about the 19th July).

Cheers,

The Kiss because:

1, Electronics and water scare me.
2, A self monitering / adjusting system a la YBOD is likley to be ignored in the end
3, The intigrated mouthpiece in the kiss is much better than te YBOD
4, Weight issues, the KISS is much more travel freindly
5, Flexabuility, The Kiss can be used with a range of tank sizes
6, Back mounted counter lungs on the Kiss leve the chest area free
7, I can use my own wing and back plate with the Kiss
8, Initial cost
9, Maintinance cost is lower on the kiss (less to go wrong)
10, It looks dead hard and techy in black with those lovley shiney braided hoses.

Obviously no 10 is the main reasion

Smile Got a YBOD, love it, but quite fancy one of them new Meg things.

Call me a turncoat if you like (I've been called much worse) but it's an interesting unit and I've been suddenly struck by Must Have NewToy Syndrome. Need to win the bloody lottery first though.

Red face

An Inspiration for me and now owned one for about 6 weeks . Teething problems have already begun but nothing major yet. The amount of bail-out to carry is a constant worry.

Cheers

Simon
