wheelie bin of lime

What we need is a large wing and a dustbin filled with lime - no limits to any dives. Beanie, how long do you use your lime for and would you do 2 trimix dives on one scrubber?

Exclamation That would be an ecumenical matter

a weekend generally 4 dives ~3 and a bit hrs depends on what bottoms time i want

i don't mis dive the unit as yet that'll be next year all things being equal and I'm highly likely to use trimix most of the time being a lazy git so would use a scrubber for two trimix dives cause they wouldn't nessesarly be deep dives :

dons flameproof suit and retires

Question Twin set?? Hmm??

I was diving (on O/C) last night on the Bass Rock with a mate from my club who dives the KISS. I must admit I'm pretty impressed with it. I dived the Inspiration on Holiday for an hour in May with:

http://www.rec-n-tec.com/index.html

and Simon Townsend. I would like a wee shot of the unit to see what the difference (if any) is.

I must admit to building up to buying a twinset early next year, but driving home from last nights dive, I began thinking about what someone said here on an earlier post. Why spend all that money on a twinset and then on trimix when they could have gone straight to a rebreather.

That Sport Kiss, does not look any smaller though, your right Nick. So does it have a shorter (hence less Sofna-lime) dive time?

Well I don't have very much in the way of comparisons with other RBs, done the BSAC CCR & SCR pool RB experience a while ago (Inspiration and two types of Draegers), but yeah I'll post later today my experiences of the KISS - better get off to work or there'll be no money to buy the damn thing

I can see why you didn't want to see this post last night now!!

So, you'll buy yourself the twin set, dive for a week in Norway, then remortgage the house, give me the twinset and buy yourself a rebreather then??? Diving with the big boys??

At least I get more dive kit!!

Josie

OK my impressions of the KISS Sport RB

1) It weighs nowt! after diving all week with my usual twin 10s, then donning the KSRB, I felt as if there were no tanks on my back. My usual weight belt was fine with the RB

2) did a 30min er.. ahem.. "try-dive" in tobermoray harbour to a max depth of almost 30m, descending and ascending very very gradually.

3) Bail-out is an absoulte doddle! Turn the big lever under the mouthpiece and you're instantly on bail-out gas.

4) bouyancy control was no issue at all as I always fly my suit anyway, the BCD is purely for redundancy purposes, it was so cool just hanging there in the water and not moving either up or down at all

5) Maintenance is also a doddle, about 10mins post dive. I used to dive with a guy on an Inspiration who used to spend several hours post dive looking after the kit

6) Breathing took a bit of getting used to, I think there may have been some dampness in the scrubber (my guess only) before I used it, as it was possible to make it so that the air seemed a little "tight", quick switch to bail out sorted any problems ASAP. But when I had my breathing right it was the most effortless breathing I've ever experienced underwater.

7) Pricewise, it's very affordable, but I would like to hear from someone who has peviously imported stuff from the American continent so that I can get an idea of what extras I might incur by doing this.

8) One dive and I was hooked completely

Erm... have I missed anything ? Let me know
