Sorry Andy, Was short notice. Only got to know just prior to leaving. We were supposed to dive Bass Rock but the winds picked up and was not safe for the RIB to go out. Managed two dives: Reverse profile. 37 meters scenic down the wall opposite the pier. 40 mins. 45 meters (55 mins) dives round wall opposite pier all way round and down to the fishing boat wreck and then back round to our entry point, racked up 18 mins deco but did this on our way back. Time we got back to exit were all clear with a 6 mins padded in 3 at 6 and 3 at 3. VIZ was excellent, good 20 meters. Water temp 9 degrees C and lowest, cold due to fresh water on first 3-4 meters. Should have posted this in trip reports.... As we enjoyed the dives so much we want to dive the site again, spend more time on the wreck. So if all are agreeable we will be heading out again most probably Sat 4 Dec. Will drop you a PM see if we can meet up if your okay for that weekend. Cheers.

Hi Garry No worries for the short notice, I ended up doing some work on the club RIB today anyway. I've dived the B200 twice now, nice enough wee wreck. Each time we've just jumped in from the pier above it and dropped down the slope. Only dived it on air, what were you using? Do you know you can exit just to the left of the pier (looking at it from the water)? Man 20m viz in Loch Fyne, sounds awesome Won't be able to make the 4th though mate, as I'll be down at Stoney for the YD meetup, perhaps another time! Last time I dived the B200 I saw a John Dory on the ascent from the wreck, twas rather nice. cheers, andy

We were on air... Would have got Nitrox fill if I known. 28%. Would ahve aalso been a good dive to practice with a stage rig. Thanks for the name did not know that, can now enter it in my log book. Any info on how it sank? Have a great time at the YD gig.
| ||||
Nothing certain. 200th hand information It may have been sunk as an insurance job. Originally it sunk a lot shallower, but was stripped of anything relevant by a Glasgow dive shop, and then somehow pushed down the slope. Whether there is any truth in this I don't know I really must make a point of looking for scar marks on the slope leading onto the wreck. andy
