Wednesdayb 22nd Dec - Diving anyone

I am *ahem* working from home a few days next week. Anyone fancy Wraysbury/Stoney/Gildenpit/Somewhere else southeast (maybe even salt - shock horror)


Lee, are you around or having to work that day ?

I might be able to do Wraysbury on the 22nd - depends if a new bit of kit I want to try (nothing exciting, just a STA) arrives in time. I'll know on tuesday. I'll want to do a weight check and maybe a wee bit of skills practice.

If you get a more exciting offer than Wraysbury though, go for it...

If I were you guys I would check the NDC website. (http://www.nationaldivingcentre.com/News.htm) as it is shut from 24th to the 2nd, so your planned trip on 29th aint gonna happen !!

Just a wee note to say thanks to Andy and Lee for the dive today - not really a trip report, as we didn't see anything other than our computers reading 6c. I'd been led to believe there was an area at the back of the lake where lots of fish hung out... yeah right. The only living things we saw were snails. Nice vis though, enabled us to fully appreciate what it would be like diving over the surface of the moon.

The highlight was probably finding an old kitchen sink. Deep joy.

Found all the fish - they were hiding by the bus! Loads of little fish swimming about, first time I've seen more than one or two in Wraysbury.

Lee's trim was much better on the second dive after he adjusted his BCD. Still bloody cold though, it was probably 5C in 'the pit' - you could really feel the change coming up from 13m to 9m to 6m to 3m. Brrrr
