Okey dokey. We'll possibly pop in for a dip before you arrive

check the right hand brake caliper to see if that is sticking, strange I know but the opposite caliper uually causes the problem
Thanks, I shall look at it Now if I literally just look at it what should I see?
If I need to get the dirty clothes on and get right down in there I shall, as long as I know what to look for. I'm not averse to getting 'stuck in'

I suspect it's something to do with the steering/bearings/whatever that bit is called

if its when you brake it is not likely ( not impossible though) to be the wheel alignment. brakes are an easy start point , will talk more tomorrow though.

My steering pump still howls though just not as loud

Thanks DSD
It does seem to pull to the left a bit anyway and there has always been about 3 foot of play in the steering wheel !

Certainly the road condition affects the extent and I've tried the 'pump up the tyres' option
Poor old Mike Phillipson was following me to the M3 on Sunday and had a minor cardiac arrest when I had to suddenly break hard and zig-zagged along. Mind you, I think he preferred that to when I was committed to overtake a lorry and ran out of road LOL
I was just seeing if his poofy Z3 could keep up with an old clapped out Landy, up hill aswell

Great dive guys Thanks DrySuitDiver & Ricky
Not sure what happened to Tamer

and thanks Ricky for the reg loan, I promise to take care of them and bring them along on the 7th

and thanks DSD for the, much needed, toilet torch and car advice. Now if you could just write down the instructions for changing these calipers and brake pads ....

Lovely evening, even if Ricky swam like he had a rocket up his arse
I don't care how bright your fins are, in 1m viz max I can't see you when you whiz off Still, it was quite fun trying to shine my torch on my compass to navigate while towing a dSMB

Thanks again chaps. Top evening
