I changed the retainer and I reckon it won't slip now
I still need a new/different crotch strap though. I want a butt ring

Ooo, what you gonna hang on it? (Or are you going to hang from it on the washing line in a supergirl stylee? )

I used to use mine for my reel but it irritated me the way it banged against teh back of my legs and is annoying when trying to sit down back on the boat.

I've heard they're typically used for scooters so they just float above and behind? Is that right?

I want to try securing a reel there but will need to check I can reach it, and replace it, and won't hurt my sensitive buttocks by sitting on on it !

I'd love to have a go on a scooter but I have more cave training to do yet.
If the butt ring is used for a scooter I think you'll find that's for the back up scooter on cave penetration where is will 'float' behind secured in some way

Of course I could just use it to keep my buddy in his place

You do know that scooters can just be for fun, don't you! I'm kinda reluctant to try one because otherwise I'll want one (let alone 2 so I can have a back up scooter!!)!

Probably better learning to use a scooter in open water first too

LOL I guess but I'm in no rush when I'm underwater. I would love to have a go in OW and nearly did last year as Rob kindly offered on the North Isles trip. This was at about 20m and, as I hadn't even looked at the controls, I thought another time might be better. Call me cautious but I reckon you can do a lot of damage on a scooter if you don't know how to use it properly

and then there's that. Exactly right and the back up is essential for cave penetration but you'd be okay in OW as long as you don't zoom off miles from the boat .... Big Si last spotted heading for The Churchill Barrier

How could I forget that but it doesn't usually go off tangent onto an intelligent diving conversation !!
