Sharm

Yaaaaaay, have just booked a two week holiday to Sharm.

Will be diving sometime from 12th Feb 'till 23rd with Emperor Divers on their day boats.

If anyone is there at the same time and wants a buddy, let me know.

I got a two week holiday, half board, in Naama Bay, flights from Manchester and no single supplement for £500 including transfers. How good is that!

After the initial shake down dive I usually plump for Tiran as it is winter.

I went in November/December 06 and found that the second dive was more light if I did Tiran than if I did Ras Mohammed as there is less land mass to block out the late afternoon light.

I have a cheapo underwater camera that I want to play with too.

Have dived the Thistlegorm a number of times - in fact, it was my first wreck dive after learning to dive, back in 97, so am not looking to do that one. Also, dived the Dunraven year before last and wasn't too impressed so don't necessarily want to do that.

Am happy with Tiran or even the house reef type things, especially as I only want to mess with the camera.

Why, are you out there some of the time? Do you take pictures?

Cheers

Lyv

i do like the tiran straits myself as its got something for every diver

from shallow reefs to deep canyons !

i do like taking photos lyv but have only started in the last 12 months and found

have got some half descent results from the camera i was useing fuji f30

although i do like accross the other side of the straits of gubal where the rosser lee muller is ! now that is an ace dive !

Have a great trip Puddlediver. I was there in Dec and due to some good luck our boat was the only one on the Thistlegorm. Not sure if it's doable on day boats but if you get the chance get on the Kingston and surrounding reef its absolutely brilliant soft and hard corals and the fish life is amazing (we were seen off in no uncertain terms by the trigger and surgeon fish.
Keep safe.

Ta, for the good wishes.

Hi Kev, how are you? I've had a Malta trip for two weeks since I spoke to you last. Am also booked to go on the Northern Isles trip from Stromness in June on the Valkeyrie. Good oh.

If you fancy any diving in Spring/Summer give me a bell - have to coincide it with hubby giving me a lift up though. My driving skills are cr@p.

Am off to sunny capernwray tomorrow just to try out some stuff.

Bye for now.

Safe Diving

Lyv
