| Just a quick 'thank you' to PuddleDiver, The Ferret and LisaR for letting me come and play today. To say the water was cold would be a bit of an understatement, at a chilly 6oC, I have known it warmer! But we still managed to get a couple of respectable dives in... and it rained for the second dive... Verdict on the Force Fins Accelerators, although I've only done the two dives with them, and have yet to try them in more testing conditions, was good. It didn't take long to get used to the open toes and the fact you can feel the fin hit your foot after the stroke. I like the fact they are compact (compared to my SP splits) and can still pack a punch from a stationery start. The DSMB crack bottle, looks like it'll do the job, but as my hands were so cold at the end of the first dive, I just about managed to turn the valve, it'd be difficult to judge it. However it did fully inflate, so no droopy blob on the surface, and no p1ss taking from the others because of it. Good to see the Capernwray have finally managed to do away with the old Portakabin toilet block, and the new facilities are bang on. Even if you do have to pay £12 to dive now... still, good value IMO. Thanks again one and all, hope to do the same again soon. Pete

| Oooh tempted but not sure, got a wing and never used it so MUCH faffing involved, dont know how much weight i will need or how different it will be to dive with or ANYTHING so will probably be a complete nuisance. ![]()

| It was good to see Lisa again and two other YD members, Ferret and Ding Dang Doo. Had a really good couple of dives, even though my fill was an measly 180 bar (on a 300 bar twin 7's) curtesey of a Dive Centre at Eyemouth!!! The water was a balmy 6 degs but the air temp was chilly, especially when we watched it from the cafe raining sideways. Nearly binned it then, but no, got in again. My torso was quite warm as I tried using two undersuits - a weezle compact and a weezle extreme. Worked well, except I needed to add a lot more weight. Only the hands and head were a bit chilly at the end of the dives. Thanks for being buddies - Lisa and Ding, and for the brews at half time. Hope you get the neck seal sorted soon Ferret.
