The one between the captain's cabin and the bottom deck is fun in a 15. Wriggle hard enough and you'll get through. Am yet to try it with my twin 10's!

Followed by a loud 'POP' and a sudden surge, as water rushes to fill in the vacuum left behind.......

By poor viz, what do you mean?
Full of silt and only 1 metre?

I havent got my primary torch with me only a couple of little led backup torches.

Should I give it a miss? I was planning on heading up to just get one dive in to do a weight check in fresh water.

Probably wasnt going to venture deeper than 12 metres as I d like to play with my buoyancy control in the 6-12 metre zone.

mmmh you need to pay to dive stoney as well dont you?

mmmh ok im in Bristol thats what 90 miles each way plust £15? for one poor vis shallow weight check dive?

I Havent paid to shore dive before and being used to pulling up at the side of the road, kitting up and walking in.

mhhh youve got me thinking now.

Davie.

A few metres viz and green. Should be ok without a torch. It shouldn't cost as much as £15 to get in, as only doing the evening dive?

But, if you're travelling all that way, isn't Vobster closer? Else just knock off 2kg from your sea weight and you should be spot on!

Well the guy im going to meet up with is in Coventry.
Had a look at the Vobster website and it doesnt look as if its open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Sod it, nothing ventured, nothing gained. might as well head for a guddle rather than sit in and scratch my bits all night.

Davie,
the vis is varied in there at the moment. On the 6m shelf and down the road it is 2m at worse, go deeper to 20 and it gets better. It's a silty sort of murk at the moment from all the rain.

I wasn't trying to put you off, just letting you know it's not as good as it has been. A dive's a dive after all.

Best vis in there is usually over where the Cessna and barge are - but I haven't been there recently.
