Doing something fresh.....at Stoney tonight.

Im heading to stoney this evening after work for my first time in freshwater (apart from a swimming pool).
Meeting up with an old mate and going to laugh at each other attempting to not die.

If anybody is around and see's an old pug 406 estate car with a Saltire on the back door then just say hello.

You wont miss me, im the tall handsome bloke with no clue what his weighting is and will probably be doing a feet first ascent while trying to keep his fins on.

Davie.

lol that will be me on Friday - Monday with Clare at Vobster.

Thought I might as well get a freshwater dive in before that seeing as I brought my gear all the way down south anyway.

Its got to be worth a laugh.

It is weird when that happens isn't it... I've heard it a couple of times, I don't know what causes it, as when I heard it we were the only two divers on it. (Now THAT is rare!)

Ratty, am surprised that you don't know what causes that noise.

I do, and what a big clang it can make!

Enjoy your dives lads!

Davie,
The vis is so bad at the moment I hope you're not expecting much! I dived Saturday and yesterday and not seen it that bad before.

My assumption is those lid things on the top, but I really haven't got a clue. Go on, enlighten me!

When I first heard it, just me and my buddy was on it. As it freaked me out so much, on the 2nd dive my buddy had to tell me what was causing it. I am still not sure how it was that though.

I usually hear the noise when I try and swim through one of the openings in the Stanegarth forgetting quite how big a cylinder on your back is!

I can show you, but no one wants to dive with me, so this weekend looks canned.

Big poppy on the top deck, look left and right of it. The handle/hook big metal thingy can be lifted up, then dropped preferably without any nervous divers inside.
