Sat 10th May - Eccy or Trefor

Anyone wanting to join us (me and slasher) for a dive next Sat is welcome. For a change we are looking at Trefor peir (current tides and weather seem to be OK but this will need confirming) or Eccy Delph for a bit of a laugh. Failing that it will be Cape (again..................)

Well, you're virtually on neaps and hw is 13.52 at 4.1m so I would reckon on hitting the water at 12.52 if you want an hour. I've done it before and got in at HW. This did not seem to be the best time to dive. Have spoken to others since and an hour before is better on the flood tide.

Obviously, if you've done it before and prefer other times then ignore me. Just a warning too.

I had my drysuit/undersuit and bag nicked out of our van at Trefor by some scroats parked next to us in a campervan, looked like a travelling family or something, be warned.

If you don't get in there there is always Dotty, was there yesterday but the visability was affected by water runoff. If you do get there have a look in one of the blast huts, we put a microwave in there yesterday. Take your pies

Cheerio

What was it like at depth ? I nearly went yesterday, Ussual crowd were there.

I assume you are talking of the huts at 25m the ones at 40 & 42 and your pies would get cold too quickly

I put one eyed Mike in the 40m hut a couple of yeasrs ago but he seems to like to move around. He was last seen at 25m tied to one of the steel cables.

Dive Safe

Regards
Nick

Sorry to hijack the thread but a quick answer. Yes, it was the blast huts just below the 22 metre tunnel.

The viz was 'orrible down to about 15 metres, especially so where you get in. Below that, it was dark but clear, although on the second dive the tunnel was murky = you couldn't see the exit from the entrance. Had a look for the second tunnel on the other side of the rock at 18 metres but didn't go in as I gather it is blind and there were other rebreather people bobbing in and out of it, thought it would be too congested.

Rained torrentially throughout the surface interval. Need a little hut or something to shelter in.

Cheers

Lyv

Hope you get to Trefor and see some nice marine life.

Sean - have you changed your moby number - tried to text you. Trefor would be fun as long as the weather and sea state stay mild and no N/NW winds. Thought of Vivian but its a small hole and a long journey - Trefor, although shallow, should have a bit more life. Will confirm Wed/Thurs. Eccy is the possible backup plan, again just for summat different. If all else fails then its Cape. Why dont you bring Mrs Seanski as well !!!!!!!!!

Weather looks to be dry for most of next week.
Less run off = better vis.
It was terrible North of Anglesey weekend before last.
May even get our club out there..........................

Regards
Nick

Cheers

If I can get a pass then I quite fancy Trefor next Saturday, tides and weather do look promising,

Anyone been in there and got a report on vis? Was like coffee when we tried about a month ago.
