    Looking to Dive at Stoney on Thurs 2 July

    Hi all

    I was wondering if anyone would be interested in diving at Stoney on the 2nd July (thursday)? I'm based in York and have done about 500 or so dives half of these in the UK. I have my own transport. Please let me know if you are interested!

    Jeepers,

    If I have a day off I'd rather call one of the skipers in St Abbs or Eyemouth up and head up to join a group there - or the Farnes even. The weather forcast for next week is sweltering, and Stoney is usefull when its cold and windy but not in the height of summer when the seas are nice and clear/calm.

    I'm new up North

    Stoney as a dive location for Thursday is fairly flexible - as I say, I have my own transport: - if someone wants to buddy up with me, but would rather go somewhere else within easy(ish) travel of York I'd also be up for that!

    I've not been in York very long - I only moved up here from Bristol recently - and all my UK dives have been either at Stoney, the southern quarries (Vobster, Wrasbury etc) or on the South Coast. Suggestions for other dive sites in this neck of the woods would also be welcome!

    St Abbs

    St Abbs & Eyemouth Dive Site Info and Dive conditions

    St. Abbs Community Website Boat Diving at St. Abbs

    St Abbs Dive Boat Charters - Charters

    St Abbs & Eyemouth Voluntary Marine Reserve

    Basically phone any of these guys up, tell them what day your free and they will let you know if they are going out, what time, how much (cheeper than South coast for sure), you can usually do one or two or more dives if you like as they return between dives. The trip out to the dive sites is vrey short hence the rtn between dives - unless your going to deeper wrecks.

    Air is avaiable at the old Harbour Masters house in the centre of the harbour, you can miss it, or ask the skippers as they will have up to date info.

    There is a shop at North Berwick called Dive Safari Scotland:

    :::: DIVE SAFARI SCOTLAND ::::

    plug Gary's mobile number in to your phone, incase he's niped out - North Berwih is a small place. He has a Hard Boat out of Dunbar and may have mid week trips laid on but St Abbs is much more likely to have one or two boats out that day, phone around the skippers, and if any you reach arn't going out that day ask for others numbers to ask them, they all know each other.
