You could try asking these guys about a course. I did the 10 day one with them about 10 years ago. It was about £600 then and I thought it was well worth the money. Although it still wouldn't allow you to buy the service kits from the manufacturers I've had no problems getting them from other sources.

I looked into this last year. The SITA/ASSETT (?) course is 10 days and £1000 and teaches you how to service Seamansubb regs (I think). After that you can then do the manufacturers' courses, if they let you.

They normally insist that you work for an authorised dealer, so just getting your LDS to say you are working there may not be enough.

Anyway, as someone pointed out to me, £1000 buys an awful lot of reg servicing from someone WITH liability insurance and the manuals will cover you in an emergency for interim repairs.

Regards

Mark

Does any body know where and how I can get myself on a Mares servicing course? Blandford Sub-Aqua is the importer, who run the courses. As I do not spend 4000 pounds on Mares equipment every year they do not allow me to do enlist me directly.
