Cobra & SPG servicing

Feeling bit of an idiot, I think I left my brain cell behind. Yesterday at the airport I took my dive knife in hand luggage wich was duely confiscated.

Anyway this mornings dive my wife noticed a stream of small 'champagne' bubbles coming from the high pressure hose. So after lunch I had the hose replaced, the technician asked when was the last time I had it serviced. Well, I've had it for 7 years, I had the battery replaced twice, changed first stages, regs and all hoses BUT.... coming to think of it never had the Cobra serviced - hose or connecting O-rings. the battery changes were just that. The tech should me the state of the rings and didn't look all that good.

So, as well as having the regs serviced it's worthwhile doing the SPG as well, including air intergrated computers.

redseapikey saw the sea in a book once
your knife confiscation is very reassuring to me but tough luck on you , ,,,on a return trip from Sharm last month a pal had a small spanner confiscated , I thought thats OK ,the security service is doing it's job we do not want some nutter dismantling the plane mid-flight....However to my horror in the bazzar shops in the departure area on the flight side of the security , large sharp rigid corkskews were on sale ??? handy I s'pose if the flight crew refuse to open your bottle of duty free Egyptian claret you wish to drink with your delicious inflight meal...
and you are right get all your kit serviced as per makers recomendation
Cheers RSP
