| Fitting Gauges I've just purchased a triple gauge to replace my existing one and wondered, is this something I can fit myself, or is it best left to LDS? Whilst I'm not great at DIY, I am perfectly capable of weilding a spanner or two, but if this has the potential to go horribly wrong, I'll let LDS do it for me and relieve me of yet more cash Arfie

| Yep. Our diving officer managed to shear off a hose end inside the first stage by forgetting that simple mantra

| I always like to use CLOckwise CLOses, works with an isolater on a manifold, on any shutdown and also when you ain't paying attention and the kitchen sink starts to piss water all over the floor!! Righty tighty works too though. Puttin an HP onto your main stage is fairly easy, there should also be something on the first stage that states 'HP' too, the time I spent re-routing and tring to put my guage in a reg hole, man, it really works to pay attention!! You will be fine though, don't force the tightening, just finger tighten and the a half turn, if that, with a spanner, probably 10mm, and you are good to go. If you are worried about what you have done, do a quick bubble check with your buddy next time you drop in, is an extension of the surface checks and always good to know. Sorry if I am teaching people to suck eggs here. Dive safe kids. |
