OK just got back and cleened my kit and the strange hissing noise from my wing has been identified as a 3mm slit in the bladder just left of the seem.

Any ideas on repair???

Aqua seel springs to mind as does a bike puncture repair kit. (will that stick to the bag )

All help greatly apreiciated

(well apart form 'bin it and get a Halcyon' of course )

Thanks

Mark Chase

Mark, tough luck!  And the seam might make it tricky...

Right, I'm no expert, but the 2 part Bostik-type glues seam more permanent than Aquaseal.  I'd be tempted to glue a patch either side of the hole for safety.  It's quite pricey but should do loads.  The stuff I borrowed of DougP was for repairing inflatable boats and worked fine - about £8 compared with £18+ for the Bostik stuff at my LDS.

<font color='#0000FF'>bin it and get a buddy trident ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

mark,

take the bladder out , &nbsp; take out the nearest inflater unit.... pull the ripped section tho the inflater cut out &nbsp;( as inside out ) ,,,, smear with EVO STICK,,,,, when finger dry, stick on a bike tube patch and leave over night,,,,,,,,,,,,, reassemle , pump up to max ,, and leave a day.

will be the best repair ever.

Mark,

I have a spare bladder in my nice n shiney, still functioning perfectly twin bladder dive rite. Not helpful I know, but then I wasn't trying to be.

Take care,

Andrew

As an aside, a rib repair kit will do it alright.

Stop being a tight arse and get a new bladder, you have got loads of dosh &nbsp;

Seriously, do you fancy being at 60m with stages and everything else knowing that your wing is held together by pritt stick. I dont think however good the repair is I would be able to get that thought out of my head.
