Spring fin straps - DIY

<font color='#000080'>Right. I've done some adding up and the bits plus VAT, workshop time and a bit (not much) for my beer kitty adds up to 29 quid. Not bad considering Denney Diving is selling them at 48.99 without any protective hose on them.

If you are still interested in a set at this price, I'll need some sort of commitment before I start buying yards of hose, springs and comit workshop time.

<font color='#000F22'>I wonder if the same thing can be done with my force fins. The straps on these are held in place with alan key bolts.

Actually looking on their website, I thing Bungee strap might be a better idea, with something to grab when your hands are cold to ease removal. Apparently they are $16 US, for a length of bungee, but the fins themselves aren't cheap.

<font color='#000080'>If you want the kit without the barrel part (they will still work but won't look as good and be a bit floppy) then 15 quid incl VAT will do the trick for 24&quot; stainless spring, 24&quot; clear PVC tube, 30&quot; nylon cord.

If you have the fins with the plastic post then you will need a couple of shackles (see earlier post) which I can get for you or you can get them yourself from Marinestore.

Thats no problem go for it. If you think we need the barrels thats fine too.

Also if going ready made, then you will have to get people to measure around their heel to get the correct spring lengths.
