<font color='#000080'>The price is for &nbsp;parts only- you would have to make them up yourself which involves-

Cutting the spring to length (easy hacksaw job)
Deburr sharp bits from spring with file/sandpaper
Use pliers and a screwdriver to bend out the last 2 loops
Cut line and seal ends with lighter
Thread nylon line through spring and tie a loop in each end
Cut tube to length and push onto spring
Fit to fins using existing clips (Jetfin) or shackle (Post type) using stainless barrels (not required but they do look good)

I'll post some instructions on the web page so you can see how to do it.
Shouldn't take more than 20 mins and it doesn't use any fancy tools.
I don't want to be making up completed units as we've all got different sizes of feet, boots, comfort levels etc and quite frankly I can't be arsed either- 20 mins a fin, 20 orders = 14 hours. You can do it yourself...

Unhappy Imported post

Woz, all sounds good mate, but just thought of a possible snag - does the one size strap cause a problem if using fins for both dryusit and wetsuit boots ?? &nbsp;

I know quite a few people on here already use springs - maybe someone can tell us what they find here?

Cheers,
Dave.

<font color='#000080'>I think there is a post somewhere about this- or I might have spotted it on t'internet. &nbsp;Size the springs for your wetsuit boots and make sure the over stretch string is long enough for your drysuit boots too. &nbsp;Or buy 2 sets!! Still cheaper than 1 set of commercial ones...

When it's all sorted, I'll do a little web page with photos, instructions and payment by Paypal if you want to use cards. &nbsp;Of course, I'm not averse to cool, hard cash or the occasional cheque.

<font color='#000080'>If you want quick release straps then get a couple of bolt snaps from Marinestore and shorten the spring. Is there nothing these straps can't do?

<font color='#000080'>Right- all up and running now with Paypal and everything. I have got a stock of springs and nylon cord in and the tube will be delivered tomorrow. To keep everyone happy, I've ordered a reel of black and a reel of clear so tell me what you want when you are ordering a kit.

Happy home building.
