| I've just picked up a Faber with a MDE valve that has had to be replaced ironically the guys other bottle brought at the same time passed with just a valve service. Safe diving, Steve

| If it's Stoney testing the threads I'm not that sure that they are using the correct thread gauge as the gauge for measuring the allowable tolerances for a scuba thread is sloppier than a standard industrial thread gauge.
