| Imported post <font color='#000F22'>Last season a buddy of mine, jumped in with me for his first dive of the season, having not used his gear in some 18mths. After the first dive (obviously a <20m potter) he had a splitting headache and dizziness which was attributed to poor / bad air. The cause was never assertained and he just refilled bottle prior to next outing.

| Imported post Trying to get back to the original question (before someone mentions the O2 content of the air millions of years ago or stromatolites). I stored my cylinders for 8 months (went travelling) and the air seemed to be fine when I tasted it, but I didn't trust it and got the tanks tested to make sure they were okay (which they were)
