| Imported post If you mean DIN threads on first stages and tanks? not sure about prevention, but viniger and a tooth brush make a fine cure. dilute the viniger a little and brush it in with a clean tooth brush....comes up all sparkly and clean. remember to change your o rings after. seems to keep them in good nick. unless left for months (like mine recently) and they will need cleaning up again. hope that helps. if not just use the viniger on your chips

| Imported post <font color='#000080'>On this subject , one of my DIN regs gets overtight sometimes, to the point that i need mole grips to take it off! I only finger tight them on, keep them clean with a toothbrush etc and there seems to be no logic as to when it does this. Any ideas?

| Imported post <font color='#000080'>Porg- check your O ring. An O ring seals by slowly 'extruding' to take up the gap and plug it with rubber. If you O ring is on its way out, it may be going to far. Also check your threads and make sure the 1st stage is bottoming out on the culinder valve.

Yes to all - and any other bits that get crud stuck to them (I am specifically refering to metal bits of diving kit here). Bryan
