| Imported post Dom Ina a word - No! I bought it second hand, and didn't think about rigging a harness - it just needed to keep my x-tec and twins tight. I think the three top slots either side don't give enough room for vertical slots to be added, so looks like i'm pretty stuffed, unless someone can think of a way of rigging a harness with the existing slot configuration? | Imported post Hi Juz At the moment, it comes up the front from the bottom slot, over the top into the top top slot, and back through the bottom top slot, and then across to the other side which is where it doesn't work because the second slot isn't horizontal, so the webbing doesn't sit right. I can't see how you could cross it over, but then I'm not very imaginitive like that - any chance of a drawing/talk-through? As the top slots I'm missing need to be horizontal, then maybe there is enough room to get them cut in - it also doesn't have a slot for the crotch strap, so I may well talk to a guy in my club who works in metal -if he can cut me two slots in the top and a centre one at the bottom, I could be laughing - might be easier than trying to figure out how to rig it using a crossover. I'm off to Cornwall over Easter, but will let you know how I get on next week. Regards Martin |

I hate to say it fella, but that plates been built by someone who doesnt really know what they're doing. Anyway, as a workaround, you could thread it with a crossover shoulder.... Heres my attempt at describing it, no doubt I'll cock it up 678 345 /// \\\ |/ \| 12 9 10 Thread 1 from the front, weight retainer, into 2, up into 3 from the front, then 4, 5, come across the rear of the plate into 6, 7. 8, out and down to 9, wieght retainer, 10. Thats how I'd go for it, but thats from the other end of a puter.... not in real life. Give it a go and see how you get on. If it works for you...... grand... if not.... erm... not my problem Good luck!

| Imported post Zak Sounds just what I'm after! I agree, in hindsight (and not being so eager to have any old backplate), I should have paid my money and bought the real thing. Anyways, I can exactly what you are getting at, except the top - are you saying "up into 3 from the front, then back through 4 and down again through 5 (and the same for 6, 7 and 8)? I guess that's what you were saying - can't see any other way, but just wanted to clarify. And don't worry - I won't come back crying if it doesn't work, well not much anyway... Thanks again Zak Regards, and dive safe Martin |
