| Imported post <font color='#000080'>hey guys, due to the fact that i have short arms (to match the rest of me), i have had to shorten the corrugated hose on my BCD by about six inches *blush* cos it really was waaaay too long. Anyhow, now the LP hose is too long, and the blokes that i used to ask i dont get on with, so im asking the guys (n girls) who i do get on with.....can i shorten it? I have taken one apart, and know how they go together. Its a Buddy Trident if that makes any difference. Spank you

| Imported post <font color='#8D38C9'>the end is made of two bit right ? the first bit unscrews normally (anti-clockwise) then the bit on the hose screws of clockwise then lop the bit of hose you don't want (chop) then screw the last bit to come of back on this time anti-clockwise then the other bit screws in clockwise |

| Imported post Ah...the advantage of Buddy! A blown hose doesn't stop your dive....just shorten the hose and go diving. As has been suggested the end of the hose splits. Put two spanners (one on each nut) on it and unscrew the collar up the hose then pull out the bottom part. The bottom part fits inside the hose and is funnel shaped. When you screw the collar on, it compresses the hose onto the funnel shape and makes it airtight. Have fun....more hose can usually be bought at your local hydraulic shop for a couple-a-quid-an-offcut.
