| I read somewhere that if your drysuit at the end of its life gives you 1 dive for every pound that you have spent on it then it is doing quite well. I am not sure how good that is, but I have just spent 59 pounds plus 12 pounds postage to get new seals on my suit, and I've got 90 dives over just under two years on the suit (ignoring its original cost, thats 90 dives/71 pounds), so its just beginning to get its money back, but it will be a very slow process. Diving = money pit. But we all know that anyway

| interesting formula. my suit is running at 25p per dive on running costs. about £3 per dive if you count the purchase price.

| I am guessing that the formula should include the purchase price, in which case my current result is 536/90 = 5.95 but that includes the undersuit that came with it. Based on running costs its 71/90 = 79 pence. So, any YD'ers out there seen reference to the forumla I am on about ? Or does anyone have a good way of reckoning how well your suit is performing ? (apart from if its dry then its a good suit, which is stating the obvious

| Oh dear. My cost per dive is £425/1 = £425 per dive. Mind you I've not broken any bits yet Digs. |

| I've got a DUI, I'm struggling to get my ratio below £100/dive |
| |||
| Now should I take my DUI to Egypt next week to reduce my cost per dive as it has just had new seals and zip? Or do I take my old 6,5 mm semi dry that cost me nothing? |

I don't dive dry just to keep warm. |
