........ok, maybe not quite so much of the LDS, more like "Bloomin' about as far away as you could get" DS!

Right, let me explain! My last dive, a few weeks ago, in Wraysbury with WeeDee I got a free flow. And it wouldn't stop flow. Time for a service, me thinks!!! So I trawled YD for inspiration. So many of you recommended a number of places to other people, and although there's a few near me (within easy driving distance) I really wanted a shop that did in house servicing as opposed to sending them out. Don't ask me why, it was just some idiosyncratic idea of mine that I had festering in my brain.

Anyway, nickb had recommended Bristol Channel Diving Ltd I logged into the site and read their pages. I kinda liked the way it was written and felt the pride of their work come through their pages. I called them up and spoke with Neil, who was a nice guy to talk to. Took the time to run through things, the cost etc. The I dropped the clanger about where I lived! We discussed loads of options and he said he would happily pick them up from NDAC if that would help.

After a thread for YD Post, along popped Baldeagle. His son lives near Reading and was heading back to Cardiff that weekend. I duly dropped my beloved regs round there and waved a fond farewell to them.

Ping, a week later and I get a call from Neil, he's fixed and done a full service on them. For a decent price. Not only that he's improved them cosmetically for me, something I'd asked about but wasn't that bothered. He did it FOC for me. We then discussed getting them back to me, said he'd give them to Baldeagle again. As it happens Scubee's at NDAC at the weekend, so Neil's given them to Baldeagle to give to Scubee then.

Admittedly I've not got the regs back so can't tell you about the quality of the work done, but I can't fault the customer service and assistance I got from this company. He was willing to run around for me getting them back to me the cheapest way possible and he's done the work in less than a week!
