    Question Flooded Camera

Where can I send my olyumpus camera and housing post flooding to get it serviced / repaired ???

Need to have an authorised dealer to look it over for insurance purposes, but I would prefer one familiar with underwater equipment rather than just say Jessops..... so any suggestions??

Also would prefer if it were local to me in Leeds.

of all the camera shops I took mine to/ phoned or emailed, they all said it would have to go back to Olympus.Service from Olympus was very good and they ll let you have a quote if it can be repaired or tell you if it s beyond help.

I'd second Kevin. Give him a call. If he doesn't do it he'll gladly point you in the right direction.

Sorry to hear about the flooding,

    As above, Kevin...

    Top geezer

Bummer about the flood. Just had the insurance people okay my SS200 flood in the dunk tank at Divewise.

Just waiting for the "Electrical Company" to contact me to arrange pick up and replace...

Looks like it will be replaces with a DS160 as my cover is limited to £1000 when overseas...need to look at what cover I can get for the camera and housing then

I just had a flood with a Sea & Sea DX-1g and it was covered on my household 'all risks' section of my contents policy - might be a cheaper option than specialist insurance -that was with Liverpool Victoria. Not sure wha tthe limit per item is and there was a £100 excess. They collected the camera last friday and I got a phone call yesterday to say a replacement is on its way. no hassle and no form filling. Als replacement is a DX-2G so everyones a winner :-)
