Exclamation Scapa Coastguard - help please
Hi

Does anyone know the number of, or any way of contacting, either the coastguard around Scapa Flow, or someone who might be able to tell me if there have been any incidents up there today?

Have tried her number and it just goes to voicemail. Am probably worrying over nothing but the panic levels are starting to rise.

Pretty sure that area is covered by Shetland coastguard.

Is Scapa not easy to get on a mobile then.

I'm on 02 is it covered in that area, if not, I think the wife will be going up the wall when me and the boy disappear from the face of the Earth having gone diving for a week.

Stromness was bloody awful on Orange a couple of months ago - you can get a few bars if you go hiking up the hill for 10/15 mins, but in town forget it.

I got better (but still patchy) reception on the boat in the Flow itself.

Apparently an Orange mast had fallen in the wind or some such, but IIRC it wasn't much better the year before.
