THIS IS OPEN TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC

No need to add names , just turn up and have a good look at the work and resources of Dover Coastguard

Has always been a great day in the past

Live search and rescue displays with the Taurus acting as casuality .

For divers that have never been inside a chopper , this is your chance once it's landed and shut down , and the crew are greeat in answering questions .

1 hr 20 mins normal time or 6 hrs 86 mins in chasey ratio time to fill the boat, with a mixture of well 'ard (well one ) rebreather divers, rebreather kn*bs, oc divers, even two of "them" sneaked on board. This is YD at its best. Even though Paul organised it.

More of an update
24th September 2005.

Come see the Coastguard and other emergency services work to rescue people from the sea.

Doors open at 10:00 to 16:00.

Search & Rescue displays at 11:00 & 14:00 , Come see the dive vessel ' TAURUS ' on fire, with 2 chaps jumping ship and 4 being helicopter winched off, Lifeboats buzzing about , CG SAR plane flying over head whilst having the CG Tug with fire monitors on , adding a super back drop.

Static stands include :- Diving and dive clubs, RNLI, RoW, Customs and excise, Search and Rescue dog assoc, Navy band and lots more,,,,,,,,,,

Walk around inside the station to see the ships in the channal live , on radar and also a radar set up for the kids to try and crash the ships :-)

A well worth day out for all the family ,
