Diver is missing ... 3 hours ago

Just had a skipper on the phone , who is very distraught and upset.

I will not pass over any details, all i will say is that the diver surfaced, laid on his DSMB, then went beneath the waves....

The skipper and incident will be posted soon on here.......

Not good news.

I assume before anything is posted here the divers family and friends will be informed. I know I would not want my details posted before the correct people was made aware first.

I really hope that this turns out OK although at this stage this stage its looking not good.

Andy my thoughts are with you and your friend (the skipper friend). They are also with the missing diver and family.

Jamie

Easy Keith.............

Like my incident that was still unfolding and the women was still on my boat , MISINFORMATION was flying around like god knows what.

How a women can be laying on my deck, being given advanced first aid by paramedic, whilst myself and the Dover lifeboat were close to the leeward side of a bloody big coastguard tug to make life easier ........

then suddenly my diver had been HIT by the Coastguard TUG when it was at anchor at the time ........

Some hear things on RADIO news and VHF SCANNERS,,,,,,,, then put 2 and 2 together to make 1,000, 0000, 00000000

I have to say that I agree with you 100%.

Whilst Andy I am sure did not mean to offend or worry anyone by his posting, I would respectfully suggest to the admins that they should consider removing this thread for now, until the actual skipper concerned feels it is ok to post.

2Ps worth.

Andy love, fingers well crossed here, that it all turns out well.

Guys, Andy is just reporting it as comes in, not meaning to cause worry to anyone. He, as a skipper, is well familiar with all considerations, and chooses this way of informing about what is going on, before it gets informed by others via 4th and 5th hand hearsay.

Missing Diver.

Local BBC South News at lunch time reported about the missing diver.
BBC South Dorset. Has a write up.

Thoughts go out to the skipper and family.

thought the comment about the number of incidents from this boat wasn't really needed, not the boat/skippers fault

Well in that case NOW .........

Thoughts go out to the skipper MIKE MARSH and family.

Mike is having a tough time of this lately, and WE SHOULD all respect that he is a super skipper..........

Mike rang me a soon as he had moored up his boat and was upset at what had happened ....
