The dive boat reported that the dive had lasted 36 minutes at a depth of 48.7 metres, and on ascent the diver had missed his decompression stops, due to some form of equipment failure, and that he had only spent about 3 minutes at 9 metres decompressing.
Ouch, fingers crossed for the guy, and the other two from the secoond incident. Well done to the agencies involved for what seemed like a very smooth operation.

2.5 miles off whitby it was a friend of one of my customers on a private boat .
apparently he swapped onto his deco reg which failed ,giving mouth full of water and struggled to relocate his main reg /regs so he came up missing a load of stops.
jason tells me he's got a spinal bend and will need a lot of treatment
lets hope he makes a full recovery.
