big effort in the channel

not a diving casualty, but an outstanding nights work by all involved!
3 hours from mayday at an approximate position, to both individuals being recovered!
sadly not the complete success we would all have hoped for, but to have located the yacht, and the man overboard, in the conditions in the channel last night,(E. force7, gusting gale 8) speaks volumes about the dedication and professionalism of the rescue services involved.

Incredible when you look at the distance between the boat and the crewman in the sea and in that weather how difficult it must have been to spot him in the sea.

no mate, i've got the handheld on at home, but not getting anything from that far west, maybe brixham are dealing? nowt on tri watch,16,0, or 67.

not on the h/h. getting some carrier wave on 67 but no speech so a range issue i guess!
