HELP!!!! On the 6th of January, 2007 near the reef Elfinstone (25 km to north-east from the seaside resort Marsa Alam) 3 divers disappeared without a trace. Their names are: Elena Sundukova, Dmitry Kapitonov and Mikhael van Assendelft. Relatives of the missing divers fixed a reward for discovering these peoples or their bodies at the rate of $10000. Frank Bottner mobile 0049 172-2975172 J.P. van de Brundt mobile +1 9542329494 Egor Tasa mobile +7-916-645-1434 http://www.webdive.ru/help.php The reason we're appealing to you is that all divers (3 above named + an Egyptian guide) were already on the sea surface - 3km from Marsa Alam. The 5th diver (a Russian man) managed to reach the beach and ran to call for help. While rescuers were on the way (I wouldn't like to discuss how long), the divers WERE LOST. We spent 9 days searching everywhere in the Red Sea around Elphinstone reef (approx.200 km around the reef), but we didn't find a single trace of our friends and relatives. One of the variants is that maybe, they were brought by sea to Saudi or Sudanese coasts. PLEASE, TELL THIS TO EVERYBODY INVOLVED IN DIVING IN SAUDI AND HELP US FIND OUR FRIENDS AND BRING THEM BACK HOME ALIVE!

Saudi The only Hyperbaric chamber I know in Saudi is at the King Abdulaziz Naval Base, Armed Forces Hospital in Jubail. There is a one man emergency one in Ryadh. None in Sudan as far as I know.

This is the translation of the accident description by a diver who reached the coast to call for help. It was written by himself (the Russian original is in his LJ blog - the reference is mentioned there as well)... Help! 4 divers disappeared without a trace! Red sea. Egypt. 06.01.07Maybe, this story could help somehow to those made a dive there that day or some days laterm to recall anything...
