    Solent Coastguard

    Coastguard Rescue Helicopter R104 assisted French air and sea SAR units to search for a missing British diver in French waters. The diver, who was a member of a diving party diving a wreck in 70m of water, had not been found when the search was terminated.

    Brixham Coastguard

    The Duty Doctor at the DDRC gave medical advice to a dive boat in Bigbury Bay after two divers made a rapid ascent. The divers were transferred to the DDRC by ambulance on their return to Plymouth.

    A diver suffering from the bends was transferred from Largs to the recompression chamber by Largs Inshore Lifeboat.

    Humber Coastguard – Farne Islands
    Following a medilink call with the Institute of Naval Medicine and treatment by the Northeast Ambulance Service, RAF Rescue Helicopter R128 evacuated two divers who had missed decompression stops from a dive boat in Seahouses Harbour to the Hull Hyperbaric Unit.

    Clyde Coastguard

    Largs Inshore Lifeboat transferred two divers from their dive boat to Millport for recompression treatment. Both divers missed a decompression stop when they made a rapid ascent from 6m following a 40m dive.

    Solent Coastguard
    A diver was transferred to the Newhaven Lifeboat when he developed symptoms of decompression sickness following a 33m dive. He was then evacuated to the recompression facility at Poole by Coastguard Rescue Helicopter R104.

    Solent Coastguard – Wreck of the Moldavia
    A diver was transferred to the recompression facility at Whipps Cross by Coastguard Rescue Helicopter R104. The diver had developed symptoms of decompression sickness following a 66min dive at 50m.

    Liverpool Coastguard – Isle of Man, Wreck of the Liverpool

    Two divers were admitted to the recompression chamber at Douglas. They were showing symptoms of decompression sickness having made a 77min dive to 40m the previous afternoon.

    Holyhead Coastguard
    A 999 call was received reporting 2 divers on the surface being carried away by the tide and waving for assistance. Trearddur Bay Lifeboat rescued these divers and discovered 2 more who had climbed onto rocks and a further 2 who were swimming ashore all from the same diving club. Holyhead Coastguard Team assisted the divers who had made the shore.

    Stromness Lifeboat transferred a sick diver from her dive boat to Houton Pier in Orkney where she was met by an ambulance which took her to Stromness for treatment.
