| Two questions: 1, Where is the rebreather? and 2, Why is Digger diving with the offspring of a Dyson cleaner and a plumbing supply shop? Just kidding! Well done Digs, you're a braver man than I.

| Thanks for doing this John. Your beers are on me at the Dive Show anyway for all the favours over the last few months. Duncan, same goes. The rest of you can help me buy the beers for them just for being so entertained by all this. I haven't laughed so hard in ages. Especially ll the double-takes we got. I thought 24l of bailout would be enough for the dive. They were only there because I've got no bloody lead, and without them I need an extra 10kg I don't have! And I thoguht it might make me look like I'd thought about it a bit more. It will probably be the rig once I've setup for mixed gas diving, so if the breather goes down I can revert to OC and carry on the dive. No point wasting all that money on boats and miss dives! If the RB plays up (which it will) then I can still dive! Yay! If anyone wants to buy a Digger and the P1SS storybook with all the photos, John will be producing a photo diary and selling them for an extortionate profit after we're done. And I'll be selling them to raise money. Then we're going and getting every very drunk to celebrate. All safety divers invited. So that's 3 of us so far! Digs. |

| Just had a good look at those. Some highlights - like the DIR bootless gauge in photo 3? It was the only thing that bubbled for an hour. Bugger that damned gauge. See photo 4? Yes, that's electrical tape over the hose. No, that's not for decoration or part of some coding system, it's becaus there was a hole. Ha ha! And it worked! Field-expedient repairs. If anyone would like to buy a patented Digger RB repair kit they're available as kits sols in most B&Q outlets. The electrical tape is under electrical, obviously, you may have to search for the cable ties, and the 22m pipe and fittings is in the plumbing section. Always carry spares. |
