| What about using a dry bleed Sherwood 1st stage and blocking off the dry bleed ? |
| ||||
| A slight problem with that. IT'S A SCUBAPRO MK2 1ST STAGE. If I was going to buy a whole new 1st stage then it would be a DS4 with a blanking cap from Routley. It's a homebuild thing. All about scrounging, penny pinching and being as mean as possible. Unless anyone has a DS4 1st they are willing to part with for next to nothing...

| Unless you value your time as zero or there abouts why not get a brand new Apeks 1st stage ? they have just anounced that they are discontiuing the TX & ATX range and have slashed the price to dealers by 50%. You could get a ATX50 DIN is £115.45 and sell the second stage on ? |
| ||||
| Oooooo excellent. Apeks ATX and TX will be popular then. I wonder if we'll see the reduction in costs passed on yet? Like where is that £115 ATX 50?

No-one has ever died (as far as I know) on a homebuild and my theory on that is because the shit ones are so shit they are in no state to get anywhere near real diving and the good ones are the ones that the builders realise they are trying to make a length of bog pipe sustain life. I have a couple of homebuilds and a KISS sitting in my garage. Getting either homebuild into a state that I would trust to do the same diving I do on my KISS would come to not far off what I paid for it. It's not a cheap project. Cheers, Stuart
