Took a Dr Duncan D5 down to Stoney yesterday and...
Had a pootle round the 6m shelf. The RB performed flawlessly and got a few confused looks from passers going to the gents while it was stood next to the door. Especially when I told them it ws a full CCR. They couldn't believe it was so small. "Oh and it's got a 5hr scrubber too". Pardon? Was generally the reply.

Dr. D's done a cracking job on the design. The WOB when I got the counterlung position right was negligible. My buoyancy control was, however, shocking. All that horizintal trim stuff goes straight out of the window. However I did go and say hello to a big old pike who didn't make a run for it until bottle_monkey (my safety diver) came huffing up behing me wheezing like Gary Glitter over a pram and blowing bubbles everywhere.

nice one, are the dil and O2 cylinders inside the rb or are they seperate and attached to you?

They are mounted to the RB. The whole unit incl cylinders can be clipped on just like a stage cylinder. In the water it's about neutral with an ally and steel 3L cyl set.

Glad you liked my products. I shall be taking my backmounted unit to Vobster this Saturday with my chest mount PASCR. Might try diving both. I'm building up another D5 as well so this might get an in water trial. With all three I could probably stay underwater until Sunday.
