I have a friend in Russia who made a similar little device to try out for fun.
They dragged him out of the pool (1m deep) and thankfully succeeded in resuscitating him.
Not that I am insinuating that your....... thingy is poorly built or anything.

I think the mesh needs to be finer. Perhaps a big squash bottle to make the WOB better, the neck looks a little small.

Otherwise fine looking job, drager will be quaking in their boots

Yeah good point, I have some gauze in the garage I reckon I might use. The mesh shown was origanly the little bag out of the washing powder box.

Someone else has suggested wrapping the bottle in bubble wrap & fix it with some gaffa tape in order to keep the scrubber warm......

If you're diving in a pool it'll be warm enough.

For the scrubber canister I would have personally gone for something a little more rigid, if you tap the side of a bottle the cat litter might move. You wouldn't want a CO2 hit in the pool

Zepp's drainpipe looked good.

p.s. I do prefer a loop rather than a single pipe like the $100 rebreather. The £100 dollar rebreather was an O2 rebreather, running pure O2 at 6m doesn't leave a lot of room for CO2. I have been told by someone that has a major CO2 hit on a CCR that he went back on the loop at 6m with no side effects, so do you need a scrubber at all if using an O2 rebreather?

My mum's just put my pocket money up, so could you do one for me? If it's too expensive would an Aldi drinks bottle get the cost down to practical level?
