| At 22.30pm yesterday evening (Saturday) Stornoway Coastguard received a 999 call from a member of an angling party who were camping on the shore of Loch Assynt, East of Lochinver. One of the party, a 20 year old male, had taken a swim across the loch and was swimming back towards their campsite when he got into difficulties in the middle of the loch. His friends stated they could still see him at the time of the initial call but they then lost him from view. More... |
