| Agreed. Top this for a quote. Speaking after landing safely on the heath after Saturday's jump, veteran Harry Herbert, 80, said: "This is a doddle compared to 60 years ago. "This grass was alight 60 years ago and we had a lot of people trying to shoot us down." Kids today. |

| There is a story in the Daily Mail about this, and it also covers the story of the 'flower children' in Holland. Children in the town, have 'adopted' graves of the men who died trying to free them, and have since then, and continue to, tend to their graves. I was moved to think that such an act takes place in todays society, my repect is freely given to these people. And of course every respect to those who gave their lives, during this and every other war. This piece sums up the courage of those who took part, it amazes me that they have such a talent for understatement! Quote:
Unfortunatly I feel ashamed to live in a country that does so little to honour its war heros.
