It's like Christmas
Only 1 shopping day left before Ramadan and the booze shops are packed. It's like the last shopping day before Christmas in Asda. Fortunately I was sensible and got my supply in last week. Now the shops are running out of beer and there will be no delivery until the end of November.

Mind you, it was our clubs AGM last night so I am sitting here nursing a hangover and don't feel like drinking again....hold on the feelings passing.....perhaps a large burger and a 'hair of the dog.'

Don't know why I started this post now.....doesn't seem to be going anywhere.

Neil, for once your mention of alcohol doesn't bother me. I am flying out of here in 10 hours or so, heading back to Phuket.

I was supposed to return here on the 5th November but when my wife tried to book the flight this morning there was nothing available until the 11th, as that's the start of Eid I am now off until the 17th November, chuffed or what!

13 hours from now I'll be on the piss in Dubai airport, I can almost taste the beer now.

You are lucky it is Dubai you are flying through. In Dubai you can buy booze at night even during Ramadan. In Oman all the booze outlets are closed for the month.

Have a Chang for me when you get back...got to love a country that supplies beer in 600ml bottles at 5.5%

I heard that some town centers in UK have allready put up Christmas decorations. The local Lidl here have Christmas junk for sale allready Christmas season for me starts in December, the shopping the week before and only put up the tree two days before, otherwise the magic is lost.

Can't say I am getting too excited, looks like I am on duty in the office over Xmas, Baa Humbug. Plus the shed (and it is a shed, it used to house pigs) is unlikely to have decorations at Christmas.

At least I will be getting paid to surf YD all day long, errr that will be the same as most other days then.
