Talking 1st Sledging this winter

I took my lads and some of their mates sledging last sunday, on real snow (in Yorkshire). What a laff.

Only one of them ended up with a broken nose (thankful that it wasn't more serious). Probably makes sledging more dangerous than scuba!

Cheers, Paul

Yeah, especially if the batsmen is really big and bad tempered. Anyway, since when have they been playing cricket in the snow?

I suppose you had your hands on a few white balls as well?

when climbing back up the hill, make sure you stop 6 metres from the top for a few minutes, you'll feel much better when you get to the summit. You should also have a backup sledge on a short string

may be worth watching your descent speed as well .... don't think your ascent will be too much to worry about tho

Sledging? In October? I never want to go to Yorkshire again. No wonder you lot never go diving! It's freezing up there! I thought Stoney was cold today, and you guys had snow! Ha ha!

Oh, I want to go sledging now. Right, I'm going on a ski holiday just as soon as I've got some money...

The trick is to find yourself a "Snow dome".....cheaper than a ski holiday, but just as much fun

Cheers, Paul
