Apparently this a 'must-watch' TV show in the States. I've never seen it. Any of you?

Chrismukkah - A fusion version of Christmas for families in which one parent is Jewish and the other Christian - as in the Cohen household.

Bitch - Pejorative term of address, as in: "Welcome to the OC, bitch. This is how it's done in Orange County" - (Luke after thumping Ryan in episode one).

Dandy - A man who takes care of his looks - although a dandy is a little too old-fashioned to be considered a metrosexual.

Dude - Ubiquitous term of address.

Emo - Type of emotional rock music favoured by highly-strung teenagers, as in: "Wait, you're dating this emo geek?" - (Brad talking to Summer about her relationship with Seth).

GP - Game plan: "So what is the GP, RA?" Seth asking Ryan Attwood what their plan is.

Hey - Hello

LBC - Long Beach, California.

Minty - Slightly embarrassing and uncool; having homosexual tendencies. As in: "Ryan, you've been playing the pirate game? That's a little bit minty" - (Seth to Ryan on his choice of computer game).

The OC - Orange County, from the hip-hop slang - not previously used by residents of the area.

Rad - Abbreviation of "radical" and "alternative" to mean cool and awesome.

Ridonkulous - Deserving or inspiring the highest level of ridicule, as in: "Dude, I cannot believe you live in a penthouse, man. This place is ridonkulous" - (Seth to Oliver).

Salt - To muscle in on or disrupt someone else's relationship: "Hey, I'm sorry I salted your game, man" - (Seth apologising to Ryan for messing up his date with Marissa).

Zinger - A witty comment. "Without anybody picking on me, there's really been no need for the Seth Cohen retaliatory zinger" - (Seth, reflecting on how he changed after Ryan showed up).

Chief I think I have seen this show. Some fit birds on it who play 18yr olds and are really 25yrs so dont feel so bad when I drool. Very nice. B ut as for dialogue I didnt know they spoke.

Dinger - the pervert
