You could fit it with a handle and carry it like a lantern swinging in the dark in those cheap victorian horror movies - the stench would certainly frighten away the ghosts

Back to reality, animal fat , not lactose. They already do a cheese made from plant renet rather than animal renet, which I believe is in the animals gut somewhere (I'll check later). So that's an option.

There you go Tim, create a fat thats low in animal renet/fat and is edible rather than the stuff currently available.
Incidentally my daughters firm markets Cheese Strings.

Matt

My girlfiend works for a market research firm on FMCG stuff, I'll see what she thinks (she'll probably charge me though)

Nicest cheese i ever had has tomato chutney already in it......you cant get it anymore. Came in little blocks shaped to go on crackers.....

What about proper sliced cheese, like what jules says, but proper cheese, not this plastic wobby stuff.

Angry proper cheese

proper cheese should not resemble extruded plastic, or shrink wrapped house bricks. It should however be made from unpasturised milk(of any animal) have more intelligent life than a nightclub full of chavs and not require a sell by date! If you want cheese spread leave a good camenbert for two weeks past its supposed use by date, oh and you do not keep good cheese in the fridge. You eat it!
Nothing, beats stilton however.
