| Bryan, It's not just a matter of size or power - it never is :-) The smaller ones take ages to heat up the solder if it's a big blob and you never get a good set, because part of the blob melts, but sometimes not all. Get a temp controlled one with a fine point (the tips are interchangable) if you can (£30ish). Tin the bit for good heat transferance. Any q's ... r Paul |
