Paying cash (Euros) into a UK bank account
I would like to open a UK Euro account and pay in CASH, anyone done it and with whom as all of the banks I have spoken to only accept credit transfer from a European bank.

Strange one - all UK clearing banks should have the facility to open Euro current accounts and accept payments into them, as well as being able to issue cheques against the account (only valid for payment to UK Euro bank accounts) - businesswise I have opened such accounts with both Nat West and Barclays but I am sure the facility should be available to individuals (just be aware that charges on Euro accounts are generally much higher and interest received on Euro deposit accounts is much less than with sterling balances)

I have a wad of cash from an illegal drugs deal that I need to pay into an account (dont care if its Euro or not) but dont want to get stung for a lousy exchange rate and a commission charge on top of that.

Re-invest it in a wadge more illegal drugs and move to Spain.

Well, it is cheap stuff and it comes almost from the local gardening store, but it works fine and it's very solid. We tried to destroy one by hitting it with a hammer... we succeeded but we really had to hit it hard - http://www.stde.ch/en/faq.php

Guys
I can open an account but they only accept credit transfer not CASH, how weird is that.

Oh well looks like plan B will come into operation then.

Plan B is go down to AP and buy a YBOD using Euros in cash, I wonder if the wife wil lbe OK with that one? I think I know the answer.
